Shaving Weeds

Getting rid of weeds, Fosso Reale, LivornoThe stone walls of the “Fosso Reale” are being “shaved” to clean them from the luxuriant weeds.

I suppose it's necessary, but I sort of like the greenery along the walls.

What a great image! I imagine the roots of the plants cause damage to the wall so this is necessary to maintain the wall.
