I remember the Signora, a beautiful ship, sailing to Rome, that would be something else!

Such a great variety of boats! To tell you the truth, I'll never be able to tell one from the other if it were just me.

Glad you got back home safe. Hope you had a wonderful vacation!

Welcome home! Does the beautiful Signora have little wheels on her keel?

Most of us couldn't tell the difference between canned and fresh, unless it was tuna.

Great shots, VP. Keep 'em coming. You always post interesting stuff, canned or not!

Tourists visiting a prison, sounds like a new Reality Show. I would love to see that ship "sail" into Rome. That would stop traffic,;literally.

I like the fisherman boat the most - it's really cool shot. Your canned goods are really superb:)

The island of Gorgona is part of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
Now you can visit the park, not the penal colony, which is only part of this tiny island.
I think the closer you can get to the inmates, mostly lifers turned farmers, is by tasting some of their produce.

Bon jour, je suis back!! :-) How have you been?

How did you get such a close-up of the boats? Do you have telephoto lenses or are you in another boat?

I always like your boat pictures. I guess having a boat with the home port of Rome is sort of like Switzerland winning the America's Cup!

Most of the interesting things seem to happen around the harbor..

An island prison...like Alcatraz, but much different in environment. Harbor shots are always intriguing and interesting.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I know the image is shocking, but the commentary explains its legitimacy on the post.
